About Us

We are currently working in Mbogolo village, Ganda location, Malindi Constituency in Kilifi County

Mafanikio Community Trust Organization (Kenya) was first registered as a Community based organization in 2003 under the Ministry of Social Services, to promote community development in marginalized areas of Lari and Ukia locations respectively.

Later in 2012, Mafanikio changed her registration to a Trust in order to operate on a wider scope. Mafanikio is a three tier organization headed by the Advisory board, secretariat and the Partners. .

Mafanikio has contributed immensely to community development through various programmes that were tailored to meet her objectives. “Mafanikio” which means success has over the years worked hand in hand with the communities to improve learning infrastructure, women empowerment and offered opportunities in education through a high school fund that supports underprivileged children.

We boast of alumni of over 200 students’ boys and girls through our high school programme and hosting and mentorship of over 250 international students on Internship & Volunteer Programmes respectively, rehabilitation of Primary Schools in Ukia location, Kaiti Constituency and distribution of an enormous amount of text books to the schools.

Our key objective is to mobilize all purpose resources to create an educational centre in the heart of Mbogolo village which is useful for formal education, experimental learning, climate change drive and exchange of useful ideas through exchange programmes and socio-economic innovations.

Another objective is to provide internship placement services for international students in diverse professions and offer opportunities for Kenyan students to study abroad in Lithuania.

A concrete help for a better and kind world

1

How we work

We provide a platform for education development in rural and marginalized areas through integrating social innovations and volunteering. This is realized through using diverse set of skills and experience of both the volunteers and the community members.

2

How we nurture

We also offer mentorship to the youth from a younger age to enlighten about critical topical issues such as environmental conservation to spark their interest while at the same time addressing natural life changing elements and issues affecting them.

3

How we integrate

We provide insights of education in a broader spectrum in the marginalized and rural community through incorporating formal and informal education activities as well as nurturing and mentoring the young adults.

4

How we help

We rehabilitate the dilapidated classrooms and provide learning materials to promote quality education. We offer volunteer and Internship placements in health care, education and pedagogy for international students.
